Demystify the creative process in this generative workshop all about the day-to-day. Join local poet Jennifer Battisti on a journey into the lived experience and consider the infinite possibilities of bringing expression into your routines. Creativity does not belong in a specific space or a designated time slot but rather can flow through every aspect of your world.
Jennifer Battisti is a lifelong Nevadan. Her work has been anthologized in Legs of Tumbleweed, Wings of Lace, Sagebrush and Sandstone, and Where We Live, an anthology of writing and art in response to the October 1st tragedy. Her worked has also appeared in The Desert Companion, Witness, Brevity, The Citron Review, Slant, Western Humanities Review, Iron Horse, Thin Air, Briar Cliff Review, 300 Days of Sun and elsewhere. She is a Teaching Artist for the Alzheimer's Poetry Project in Clark County. She was voted best local poet by the Desert Companion in 2018 and 2021. Her work has been on display in exhibits for Nevada Humanities. Her first chapbook, Echo Bay was released in 2018 and her full-length manuscript, Off Boulder Highway was re-leased in 2021 (Tolsun Books).

Paseo Verde Library is located near The Dollar Loan Center just off S. Green Valley Pkwy. and Paseo Verde Pkwy. This location features a 1,000 square foot glass wall Reading Room, a volunteer-staffed genealogy room, private Zoom Rooms, antiquarian books for sale, and a local coffee shop.
