Computer programming skills are highly valued today, and they will be even more valued in the future. Karel is the perfect language for beginners. Through simple hands-on interactive activities, students will learn how to design algorithms and write working computer programs without struggling with the technical complications of mainstream programming languages. Additionally, participants will receive their own free username and password so they can continue with their Karel education, and as well as learn Python and 3D modeling using NCLab's programming education database.
NCLab is an open public cloud computing platform that empowers future coders, engineers and scientists by providing engaging self-paced and self-graded courses in essential STEM subjects, as well as powerful open source computing and simulation tools.
Class open to adults and youth ages 12 and up.
