Learn how African pastel art can recreate depictions of people and times, using rhythm and movement with vibrant colors. Then have fun making your own art!

Join us for a wonderful journey of telling stories through pictures with a presentation on African art and narratives, followed by a step-by-step demonstration of narrative artwork using colored pastels on paper.

For ages 10 and up, but children ages 10-12 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. This project is funded, in part, by a grant from the Nevada Arts Council, a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.

Part of Around the World at Henderson Libraries, a celebration of countries and cultures.
