Frequently Asked Questions

    • You may request a card at any Henderson Libraries branch: Paseo Verde LibraryGreen Valley LibraryGibson LibraryHeritage Park Library (facility only for 50+). You will be asked to present picture identification and proof of address. Start the process by filling out your info online. Need more detailed info? Download our Library Card Brochure.

    • You can reset your library PIN/password by calling any one of our locations and asking library staff to reset it for you. You may also email us at

      To accurately identify you, staff may ask for your library card number and your ID.  

    • For privacy reasons, we cannot give library card numbers out via email or over the phone.  You will need to visit us in person with your picture ID, and we can issue you a replacement card for $1.00.

    • Yes! If you are a Nevada resident who lives outside of Henderson, you can still attend programs, use our facilities, and check out physical items from any of our libraries, but you do not have access to our electronic resources, such as downloadable eBooks, eAudiobooks, steaming music and movies, databases, etc. (due to vendor limitations). Non-Nevada residents can use our facilities, including computers and WiFi.

      Live in Las Vegas? You can access these resources through the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District.

    • To suspend a hold, start by logging into your library account HERE.

      • Enter your 14-digit library card number and library PIN/password 
      • On the left-hand side, click on Requests  
      • Check the box next to the title you wish to suspend
      • At the bottom of the page, click Suspend/Reactivate Selected  
      • Select a new activation date
    • Yes, from new titles yet to be released to old titles that we don't have in our catalog, you can make a request using our online title request form

    • Call the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District (click HERE for locations and phone numbers) to see if the still have the items at their location and ask if you can pick them up. 

      If you cannot retrieve the items from LVCCLD, monitor your library account and renew your items as necessary.

      We have a system where Henderson items that are returned to another library system are eventually returned to one of our libraries, but it can take up to a month.

    • Yes! We accept donations at Henderson Libraries. Please check our donation guidelines before dropping off items. 

    • Yes! Every library has used book sale area and we have regularly scheduled book sales every month through our Friends of Henderson Libraries volunteer group. Check our event calendar to find the next sale.

      If you would rather shop from home, our Friends also sell used titles through their Bevy of Books online store hosted by

    • We currently accept cell phones and eye glasses for recycling.

    • Unfortunately, we no longer offer proctoring services. Click HERE for other test proctoring locations in the area.

    • Yes. We offer a wide variety of events for all ages. Visit our Events Calendar to discover everything we offer!

    • Please read over our Regulations for Program Proposals. If you feel your program is a good fit for our libraries and beneficial to the community, submit our Program Proposal online form. Our Programming Committee will review your proposal and contact you.

    • You can print and copy at any library! Make sure you have funds available on your library card by using the Add Value Station located near the printers.

      Black and White: $0.15 per single-sided page and $0.20 per double-sided page

      Color: $0.25 per single-sided page and $0.40 per double-sided page
