Poetry Studio: Pokemon, I Choose You!

Featuring Clark County Poet Laureate, Vogue Robinson

Learn a new style of poetry in this safe and creative environment. Every skill level and writing background welcome. Write and read during workshop time to get constructive feedback.

As a group we will vote on the subject of our final studio. Here are the three options:
1. Find visual prompt in the library to write an ekphrastic poem, which is a vivid description of a scene or, more commonly, a work of art.
2. Practice delivering our poems in a way that holds attention and discuss the art of spoken word.
3. Choose from a series of prompts and write something during class to be shared and workshops. 

Facilitator Vogue Robinson recently became the second-ever Poet Laureate for Clark County, and she serves as organizer and co-host to the Battle Born Poetry Slam and Words in Motion Open Mic. Read more about her here.
