The City of Henderson is urging residents to "Get READY! Stay READY!" in case of an emergency. As part of the city's Emergency Preparedness campaign, we are encouraging residents to do ONE thing each month to prepare for an emergency. Join us as city representatives share information about preparing for a water emergency. The goal for February is to have enough water stored and ready to use for 72 hours. Following the presentation, attendees will be invited to assemble and solder their own water alarm using electronic components. The water alarm gives an alarm sound when water is detected.
For ages 10 and up, but children 10-12 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Limit one water alarm kit per registrant. The City of Henderson and Henderson Libraries would like to thank the Henderson Libraries Foundation for underwriting the kit materials.
