All entries must be family friendly. The library reserves the right to reject any entries which are considered to be inappropriate.
Each food creation must be at least 95% edible. Edible means: made of food or foodstuffs. The base can be no larger than 18x18 inches. The creation will be without refrigeration and on display for 3-4 hours, so it must not be made of extremely perishable ingredients.
The creation must be on a disposable base (cardboard, plastic, etc.) and will be discarded at the end of the show if contestant does not pick up their creation by disposal time. ***Henderson Libraries, its branches, departments, or any member of staff is not liable for any personal items that are brought into the library.***

Each "edible book" submission should have a physical copy or an image of the book used for the creation to be displayed on the day of the contest.
Each entry will be judged on the following criteria: (a) Originality and Creativity; (b) Skill and Construction; (c) Visual Appeal; and (d) Tie-in with the literary work being depicted.
Awards will be given in the following categories: Best of Show Adult Book; Best of Show Young Adult Book; Best of Show Children's/Juvenile Book; and People's Choice.
